Gallery Master Plan 2004
Valenta Taber Architects
The fit-out of an old 10-story concrete warehouse building transformed an under-utilized building into a destination for art galleries and visitors in a fast-growing Brooklyn neighborhood. A colorful, double-high lobby space, brightly lit signage, and a cantilevered glass canopy create a distinguishing storefront while accommodating increased pedestrian traffic at street level. For the interior design, various gallery, corridor and lobby layout options were developed for the client. Work is currently in progress and is scheduled for completion in spring of 2006.
